I assume the "Keyboard Support" section would be a good place to input an "Odds and Ends" sub-section that compares the differences in reactions of some keys.
For example, if you press the Home key in OS X, instead of going to the beginning of the line like in Windows, it goes to the beginning of the document (or on a one-line input box sometimes does nothing). The same applies to the End key. People like myself who utilize those keys regularly, especially programmers, could find those details useful, regardless of how trivial they may seem.
Some of these types of things may be changeable, but comparisons of the default settings provides insight to those considering making a switch.

Just a thought.

Interesting observation. We might need to look into doing this. Anyone want to attempt to write something for us to get started with?

How do you separate personal preference from facts?

I made a similar comment about the inconsistent state of the enter/return key in osx . How in the CLI it enters a command but in the GUI it renames. Also how enter is far faster and what people tend to expect.

If you recall that was shot down because it's personal preference on my side. i shouldn't except things to work exactly like they do in windows. I don't see how this is any different

I think I misunderstood the original request. I was under the assumption this was about add a comparison that compared the keyboard shortcuts for general operating system commands. What are you proposing?

I am for comparing general purpose commands. But not comparing things on an application level. Anyway, the keyboard commands in Mac OS X are very customizable anyway. User's can customize them to whatever they are used to.

I'm saying how do you fairly compare them? The example i assume was to be included on this site is a personal preference. Do we just list every shortcut key there is?
